Rather than condemn Trump's racism, Kellyanne Conway berates a reporter.
Kellyanne Conway demanded to know a reporter's ethnicity before she would answer his question about Trump's racist attack on four congresswomen. The exchange happened Tuesday in front of the White House.
"If the president was not telling these four congresswomen to return to their supposed countries of origin, to which countries was he referring?" Andrew Feinberg asked Conway.
"What's your ethnicity?" Conway shot back, seeming to believe Feinberg's ethnicity is relevant to Trump's racist remarks.
Feinberg, a reporter for the website BeltwayBreakfast.com, was referring to Trump's recent racist attacks against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Over the course of several days, Trump has attacked these four women of color, beginning on Sunday when Trump demanded they "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came."
Rather than defend or condemn Trump's racist tirades, Conway berated a reporter about his ethnicity. While Conway's husband may consider Trump to be "racist to the core," Conway herself seems to fit right in at the White House.
