The 2016 election is over. Donald Trump is the President-Elect and I will do everything I can as a citizen to help make his presidency good for everyone. But I will also be guided by an incontrovertible fact: More Americans voted for Hillary's values than Trump's.

We do not know what a Trump presidency will look like but we do know that tens of millions of Americans will continue to defend and promote the values that Hillary Clinton represented in her campaign.

Trump won the election. But the fact that Hillary is on track to win the popular vote carries much more than just symbolic significance. It is a beacon for those who are outraged that Trump’s transgressions were acceptable to so many fellow citizens.

In the days and years to come, there will be an ongoing fight for the soul of America. Those at the forefront will know that tens of millions stand with them.
