Mueller wanted his summaries released immediately. Barr ignored him.

Attorney General William Barr ignored a demand from special counsel Robert Mueller to release summaries Mueller had written without 'delay.'

Attorney General William Barr is a liar.

On two separate occasions in April, Barr told Congress he didn't know whether special counsel Robert Mueller was frustrated with Barr's totally inaccurate summary of Mueller's 400-page report.

Now we know the truth: Mueller sent Barr a letter days before Barr made those comments under oath, in which Mueller accused Barr of not capturing "the context, nature and substance" of his report.

Mueller even demanded that Barr release summaries of the report Mueller had prepared without "delay" — a request Barr completely ignored.

"Release at this time would alleviate the misunderstandings that have arisen and would answer congressional and public questions about the nature and outcome of our investigation," Mueller wrote in a March 27 letter to Barr, which was released on Wednesday by the House Judiciary Committee.

Of course, Barr's leading the public to believe that Trump had been cleared of collusion and obstruction charges was in Trump's best interest.

And Barr's refusal to comply with Mueller's requests shows he valued protecting Trump over the legitimacy of an important investigation that showed Trump obstructed justice on multiple occasions as well as welcomed the support of a foreign adversary meddling in the 2016 election.

No wonder multiple members of Congress are calling on Barr to resign.
