Steve King claims he loves the taste of toilet water at Trump camps: 'I smacked my lips'

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) sang the praises of toilet water in an attempt to downplay stories of immigrant mistreatment.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) bragged to voters at an Iowa town hall on Wednesday that he drank out of a toilet and that it was "pretty good."

King, a well-known racist who is anti-immigrant, was attempting to push back on stories relayed by Democratic members of Congress who toured migrant detention facilities.

"One of the women said she was told by an agent to drink water out of the toilet," Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) told reporters in July.

King had a different take during his town hall.

"I actually went into that cell where it was reported that they were advised that they had to drink out of the toilet," said King, "I took a drink out of there, and it was actually pretty good."

King said he recorded drinking the toilet water and "I smacked my lips" at the taste. He then went on to say a "language barrier" prompted a supposed misinterpretation of migrant concerns about the water they were given.

As part of his interactions with voters during the recent congressional recess, King recently claimed to possess math proving immigrants can quickly take over his district (and the country. He also expressed gratitude for "rape or incest," praising both violations as vital in maintaining the population of the world.

Slurping up toilet water and singing its praises is just the newest chapter in King's long and sordid Congressional career.
