Donald Trump is attacking his own attorney general and longtime loyalist, Jeff Sessions, for not using his office to attack Hillary Clinton over a conspiracy theory.

Donald Trump has added his own attorney general to his growing list of enemies.

On Monday, Trump whined that the “beleaguered” Jeff Sessions was not looking into Hillary Clinton’s “crimes” and “Russia relations,” both of which are long-since debunked conspiracy theories – not that such a designation has ever stopped America’s most famous birther.

The complaint comes as his son Donald Jr. and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are set to testify about their interactions with Russian operatives during the presidential campaign to obtain dirt on Clinton. Democrats have indicated that if this information was acquired with the promise to do favors for Russia, it would constitute a “serious crime” by the Trump team.

Despite Sessions’ support of Trump during the campaign and his decision to lie under oath at his congressional hearings about his own contact with elements of the Russian government during the campaign, Trump has continued to express displeasure about his lieutenant.

Trump now complains that Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from Russia investigations — which he only did in response to public pressure about his lies — was the wrong move to make, and told The New York Times that the recusal was “very unfair to the president.”

Trump has repeatedly argued from the authoritarian standpoint that the point of the American government is to serve him personally, not the country.

Trump also said, “If he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.”

The Russia investigation has dominated Trump’s short time in office, and rather than come clean with America, he and his family and political team continue to lie and mislead.

The American people have rendered their verdict on his duplicity by making him the least popular president in his first six months of all time.

The near-daily revelations and uncovering of wrongdoing are clearly taking a toll on Trump, who is now lashing out at one of his most steadfast supporters as the walls close in.

Everybody else — family included — should watch out. There’s no loyalty here.
