Over and over, Donald Trump has said he can't release his taxes because he's under audit, a flimsy excuse which has been disputed by Warren Buffett and others. But now he says he will release his tax returns "immediately" if Hillary Clinton produces her deleted personal emails. Huh?
"Let her release emails. I'll release my tax returns immediately" - Trump, showing "routine audit" isn't why he won't release tax returns

The full quote, from an interview with Bill O’Reilly, further reveals the disingenuousness of Trump's rationale:
I am under a routine audit, and when it’s completed I will release my returns. In the meantime, she has 33,000 emails that she deleted. When is she going to release her emails? She probably knows how to find [them]. Let her release her emails and I’ll release my tax returns immediately.
If he can't release his returns until the audit is completed, then how is he going to be able to release them immediately?
The answer to that question, of course, is that he knows this excuse is balderdash—and has known so all along.
