Trump has a temper tantrum over Pelosi saying he had a temper tantrum

Trump's fear-induced temper tantrum enters its second day as Congress circles in on his crimes.

Trump's behavior over the past two days is more fitting for an over-tired toddler than the leader of the free world.

The 72-year-old has now been throwing a temper tantrum for two straight days, as he's angry that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rightfully accused him of running a cover-up to keep congressional investigators off his trail.

The meltdown began on Wednesday morning, when Trump stormed out of what was supposed to be a meeting with congressional Democrats on infrastructure to instead hold an embarrassing "news" conference declaring that he won't do his job until Congress stops investigating him.

When the news coverage of his tantrum was not positive, Trump then took to Twitter Wednesday night to tell the country that the meltdown they witnessed with their own eyes was not a meltdown at all.

"In a letter to her House colleagues, Nancy Pelosi said: 'President Trump had a temper tantrum for us all to see,'" Trump tweeted Wednesday night. "This is not true. I was purposely very polite and calm, much as I was minutes later with the press in the Rose Garden. Can be easily proven. It is all such a lie!"

Trump then proceeded to melt down even more, sending a string of lie-filled tweets Wednesday night accusing Democrats of investigating him rather than delivering for the American people. In fact, House Democrats have done a lot over the past few weeks, including passing legislation to protect people with preexisting conditions, lower drug prices, and afford LGBT Americans the same rights as everyone else.

Trump continued with that same false narrative on Thursday morning, again falsely tweeting that Democrats have gotten nothing done. But Democrats have passed legislation that GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has squashed — and then bragged about how he's thwarting progress for Americans.

"The Democrats are getting nothing done in Congress," Trump tweeted Thursday morning. "All of their effort is about a Re-Do of the Mueller Report, which didn’t turn out the way they wanted. It is not possible for them to investigate and legislate at the same time."

He then sent a caps-lock riddled tweet: "The Democrats have become known as THE DO NOTHING PARTY!"

There's something rich to be said for a president who has spent $102 million worth of taxpayer dollars to golf every weekend, and who has literally said out loud that he will refuse to pass any legislation until the legitimate oversight investigations into his crimes are put to an end.

Not to mention, Trump oversaw a Congress unilaterally controlled by his party for two years and all he managed to do was fail to strip health care from millions of Americans and pass an extremely unpopular tax law that benefits the rich over the middle class.

With all this melting down, it looks like it's high-time for nap time at the "adult day care center."
